I like the idea, but as MrBeast says, this is planned.  The ability to collaborate is distinct from the ability to fork.  If you have five people who are really working together on one piece of art, you don't want to make them make five different forks of the same work.  On the other hand, if it's a non-collaborative fork (say you want to take a work in a different direction from the artist) then the ability to fork is important.  At any rate, both will be available.

Mostly the project is waiting on OGA2.  I plan to go back to it (and Last Escape) once all of the 2.0 features are implemented here.
