I am curious is the gif format open now. I would say 25 years ago you had to pay royalties to use the gif format. I am assuming some time between now and then it was changed.
No one really answered me about scale. I walked through the shark tutorial which started with a drawing then modeled over it. it obviously didnt take any real world dimensions in creating it. In the tutorial it said to set the scale to .5. however it did not explain anything further about scale or what it meant slash is used for. I can only assume you want the scale to be the same for all the models in your project.
I immediatly thought of Surt or Kenny. Not because they would work so cheaply but because they always donate great art. It would be nice if they got a little something for it once and awhile. Im sure there are others that are deserving as well.
if you could do this any image that was cc0 and half decent would be snatched up by someone to claim ownership. Thankfully they cant so there is still lots of decent free cc0 stuff to use
That Getty article is a little scary. Im staying away from that company for sure.

wow thanks Danimal and Clint. thats a lot of helpful information. It helps to know what to avoid or what bad practices are with modeling.

I love the mineshaft shot. The color of it is soothing to the eyes.

I enjoyed the original Master Blaster. That was a favorite of mine. In your game can the driver jump out like the original.
Maybe im wrong and it doesnt matter but why in that last picture is he holding his axe backwards. it looks really odd.
