Hey dravenx! It's me again :D In the last few months (i'm a beginner) i got some basics of my online space game working. Using your ship sprites here: http://websocket.bonsaiheld.org
Too bad you made your ships in Photoshop. Imagine the ships light up when a shot flys by! Awesome :D Although i tried to create the bumpmaps myself. It doesn't work - it produces flat reliefs...
Oh, isn't this the fanmade X-Game? Awesome, i did read about your project on the EGOSOFT-Forums one year ago. Nice to have you here.
Awesome backgrounds and more awesome that you choose to release them under Public Domain. I just wish they were bigger as i started developing a little spacegame myself but in a 2D environment in the browser.
MoikMellah: Ugh, i don't like filenames like these. But yeah, you're right... Thanks for the tip.

I now found something really cool you can do with HTML5 canvas, which i'm developing my game in: 2D normal mapping! Move your mouse over the images: http://29a.ch/2010/3/24/normal-mapping-with-javascript-and-canvas-tag

I notice the same glitch on my simple bullets here: http://opengameart.org/content/sci-fi-space-simple-bullets I'm sure they didn't get downloaded that often already. Should be changed, this destroys real download statistics IMHO.
I wonder how many people use these rocks in their games. Funny. I admit, i myself am... Heh.
Better upload in FLAC format instead, it is lossless like WAV but smaller and THE format for audiophiles. <3
Btw: You made those sounds with your mouth, didn't you? :D
A shadow is not a border. :D

Love them :)
I love this piece. I'ts perfect for an easy first level of a space shooter or a quiet space sector.

Beautiful. But there's a black border on the bottom and the right of the planet. Can you remove that?
