I'm indirectly working on a weapons sound pack from time to time by uploading US Gov. video material-based sounds to my Freesound.org military sounds pack. All CC0/Public Domain and all sources included (some of the older ones that have the info in their metadata are dead links by now). I have 43 videos on hold for processing right now. :)
Warning, the "download sound pack" feature seems to not capture many of the sound files. :|
Looping engine sounds have been proven to be a hard task to me.. :| Although somehow in Trigger Rally the non-well-loopingness of car-engine-loop-96khz-4s isn't noticable. Must be some smart software-mixing thing.
Thanks for the example. It sounds to me as if thunder was mostly used for the sounds in this film, interesting.
I added a zip with only the new splash .wav files and a zip with both the old and new sounds as .ogg vorbis to tiny-naval-battle-sounds-set. Is this suitable?
I had to tinker with blender after all to make some room and re-unwrap some sections of both the seat and wheel (it was SO comfortable to already have the sections in different parts of the uv map and not having to do this from scratch!)
I could use some comments, For example about my choice of "ads". Is this fun? Stupid? Should I change things like "grep" to "grep inc" to make it seem more of a parody? Or not brainwash players into getting comfortable with *nix commands at all? :) Anybody who would play a racing game is welcome to give their "two cents".
The visuals remind me of Scoregasm.
When you posted your character request, I got reminded of Clint's adventure-kid art submission. :)
In combination with your username, this strongly reminds of a certain 3D adventure game. :)
Glad to hear the sounds are satisfactory!

Glad the shot/hit sounds are good enough.

Now with additional preview for added splash sounds.
I'll just delete the video then.

2MB zip of everything in the seat dir, just so I don't forget anything...

It's hard to understand in-game. Here are the lyrics: https://github.com/ChrisJan00/CowAttack/blob/master/sfx/song-lyrics.txt :)
Based on trigger-nimrud (contains correct .vehicle file) I tried to finish the Fox Mark II. Suggestions welcome!
