Found some stuff on my hdd and updated this submission...

It's an astronaut and the same colours but the helmets a different shape, the face is different. It doesn't look the same as the manga picture...change the shape of the cracks on the visor maybe for even less similarities.

Ye sure. Axelay on the snes does that. It switches from vertical to horizontal at different stages.
Not sure what you mean @UrieW. Shoot 'em ups do auto scroll from level start to to level end...
Frayed knot. Warpgal would be run n gun or metriodvania. Challenges of the future...
