There is no need for life on the planet either. no need to be rash and try to shoot the idea down. I do honestly feel there should be a section along with 3D, 2d, sound ect. featured tutorials has a section and I dont see much booming there. and normally just anything gets put into forums. many times art gets there rather than the actual categories.
You did good as you could in posting an ad without pay, and without examples I guess. Im glad you said "spare time". After I get unity to stop being annoying then im going to be posting a lot more content and you can feel free to grab anything you want off of me and make some occasional small requests if you want.

If their unusable to you then I'll just put them up as some scraps. one of the algae things is seamless to run down walls and other things. the wall set is pretty seamless but may need some configuring.
I think that gif images should be able to play automatically on homepage and in the assets page itself. Since it does accept gif images. I also think adding in photos without needing to have them uploaded somewhere else ie imgur.

I personally think the tag system covers this and that 2.5d should fit in the 2D category. Much like sprites rendered from 3D models should.
