Here's the outcome of adding the wiggle. I think it's looking pretty good. I did discover another way to animate the legs, which one do you guys prefer?
After puzzling for about a week about what to make for the contest, I decided on the idea of a centipede, using an old pallete I had lying around.
So far I have the south walking aniation, and I'm unsure how to deal with it turning. I was thinking of having each tile of the centiped be able to turn independently, which could create a good game mechanic, but I'm not sure if I can pull it off.
Wow, this is terrifying! One thing I'd recomend is making agreeing to upgrade the licenses mandatory, as long as you are the original author, so no creep can purposely post their stuff on here and farm missattributions. Also, it would be a good idea to post warnings on old licensed posts with intructions on how to correctly attribute. As well, perhaps OGA should add a mandatory agreement that if your work is found to be being used to immoraly sue people, that the license is forced to be upgraded.
Glad to be helpful. :) If you choose the LPC pallete, there are actually two versions, the standard one has been greatly expanded on, and hasn't been compiled into one space, but here's the link to the original pallete and style guide from the contest. There's also Elizawy's expanded pallete, which you can find here.

Thanks for your feedback guys! I see what you mean about the tapered sections Ragnar Random.
I tried to get the segments to sway back and forth, but I couldn't get it to really work well, I'll have to try what you suggested, Bluecarrot16.
I also see what you mean about further shading, here's what I came up with.
Here's the north facing animation.
I know, it's just a prototype to get people's thoughts on.
Centipede for the LPC art challenge.

There's a few palletes that are commonly used. There is the Dawnbringer, as well as other ones such as Arne16, and the LPC pallete.
If you like these you should look at the others in the LPC style. :)
Yeah, the second one, having the ability to set cover art to your post.
