I listened to these while I was on my way to work many times over the past few weeks.
Eye of the Storm and Rise of the Storm both sound great melody wise and I feel there is definitely a story being told in both. I found the instrument quality somewhat lack lustre though. I would say almost General MIDI or Soundfont like which is a real shame given how easy they are to listen to and engaging. I know maybe your working with what resources you have available to you so I understand if you think I am nit-picking at minor details.
I listened to this not long after you posted it, but I got side tracked.
Heart of the Storm sounds much more balanced, melodically and flows better. Love the change in BPM near the end, really gives it drive and a sense of urgency. Makes me think of "Beat em Up" game and time is running out to complete the level.
You probably missed it as I don't advertise. :P Thanks for watching though!
Friendly voice? That'll be the characteristics of the SM58 microphone I use xD I do watch back my streams for ideas I covered and forgot about but still cringe at some of the odd things I say.
I really enjoy making patches for plugins. It's very satisfying building a patch and then a track from it, not that it always pans out mind you.
Thanks MedicineStorm and for taking the time to listen. It's taken a long time, through careful but tough decision making, to get the set-up you see. I did plan to stream a lot longer that day.
You'll be glad to know I use no artificial ingredients in my streams... but you may loose your hearing on a temporary basis. Fortunately I do not sing else it'd be permanent.
Hi Umplix. I did notice your contribution quotas were dropping xD I'm joking of course.
I would have replied hours ago but I'm so easily distracted. Ok, Input. I will be blunt and honest as that's how I like peoples opinions, feedback and critic of my own. I've listened several times to be sure on DT770 Pro's and DT1990 Pro's to get an even listening as using cheap headphones tend to exaggerate frequencies e.g. Bass.
Firstly, love the intro! That gritty bass guitar sound and variation keeps it interesting and the same said about the drums. Secondly, the trumpet/lead instrument at 37secs sounds off and kind of ruins the theme, however, the second half with the same instrument works but then I think because it's at a lower octave and chorded.
I true hope this helps, even if a little, and I look forwards to hearing the progress.
I'm not exactly contributing towards this topic but I use A.I. generated art to help with inspiration and ideas however I agree with @glitchart and I will never be distributing / sharing it here on OGA.
As short and basic it is, I sincerely enjoyed it. That basement scene made me jump and hairs on my arms stand.
Couple of feedback / bug points.
1. I'd started a new game and found the mouse sensitivity too low so I thought pressing escape would take me to the options but instead it quit the game. 2. Speech pronunciation (A.I or text to speech?) error with the word "Winds" which was spoken as "Whineds" after the first scene. 3. View sometimes start randomly slow panning around. 4. Just before most cut scenes end and fade to black I see the textbox appear with "0" written? 5. After you dig the flowers and find the stairs, even though I was set to English I still saw "¿Escalones?" instead of "Stairs?"

Over'all a damn good job on both thus far.

Sure, add it in. I'm no pro but I will always be honest and I'm sure more people out there want to share their thoughts on this W.I.P given time.

Other than that, congratulations!
