This was something briefly disscused on the OGA Discord server and as MedicineStorm said, it's a Bot scraping the site with thousands of connections. I did notice the site crawling along yesterday from around 10PM GMT, seems to be back to normal now.
Thank you for the in-depth answer, it has helped considerably.
I don't want to be overly restrictive with my uploaded assets which is why I chose CC-BY 4.0. I don't want to be that annoying person badgering everyone when they fail to provide attribution or do so incorrectly, but at the same time I do find it irritating if someones excuse is laziness "I couldn't be bothered to check" attitude.
I'm evaluating just going CC0 to avoid the headaches.
Just doing a forum sweep for dangerous links etc. The link you provided resolves to below error.
"Requested URL must be a parseable URI, but possibly incomplete to be a DynamicLink.
If you are the developer of this app, ensure that your Dynamic Links domain is correctly configured and that the path component of this URL is valid."
I see from your response you misunderstand my humour for sarcasm, a possible language barrier or cultural difference maybe?
For now I would say, for the sake of your future publicity and fame as well as maintaining a professional image, is to rise above playing the victim.
All the best.
WOW, 56 comments today and still going. How many more do you have left to go?
[Edit] MedicineStorm beat me to a response. :P

I think I heard a sob from somewhere on the site. You may have hurt it's feelings.
It's probable not a whole lot of people here, if any, use the Flare engine.
If you haven't already you could also try asking in the flare forums.

Justly deserved my good man.
Again, thank-you your help and clearing this up.
Now I get to write a really awkward email asking them to make the changes. Ugh.

Could you be thinking of a Surge Protector?
