PSD with layered graphic assets. Included 9 unique classes and a small bonus. All characters are divided into parts for animation.
Let me know if you want more art in that style.
How to create art like this:

And thank you all for the feedback!
upd: Added another PSD with same guys in flat style. Unfortunately, they are not divided by parts, so can be useful only for GUI or something like.

:D This will produce hundreds of new zombie shooters and they will all look awesome, just because of your sprites. x)
Thanks :) I hope there will be a team multiplayer shooters

Really nice work!
Hope to see even more of it in the future (:
I would love to use your graphics for my current HTML5 based RTS game.
I'll send you a link as soon as it's playable.
Thank you! I'll be waiting :)
OMG thise look great !! Insta favorite.
I'll be honest. Yours are the best artworks I've seen on OGA. Keep up the great work. Also, since these are licensed under cc-by-sa, do I need to release the source code of my game if I use them in it?
I've started making a multiplayer shooter using these. I'll make sure to send you a link once I finish.

Hi Dear,
How I will get the license to use this art.
Mumu, AJ_, thank you very much!
ghostllxg, nice, waiting for first tests.
ashish.v wut?
Your sprites are hands down the best I've yet seen here on OGA, and you're actually kind enough to release these for free. You, sir, deserve endless thanks (and maybe a little donation)!
However, I have a little idea. Don't take this seriously yet, it's just some random thoughts. All of your sprites are beautifully lit, and that's what makes them look so good (at leas as I recon), but these lights are statically baked into these sprites and persist even when the sprite object rotates, which is not really how things work.
These sprites can be made even more cool, vivid and alive and let me tell you how (this, however, will not really depend only on you).
I have an idea of making some "reflection maps" for your sprites, which work a bit like this:
1. One takes your UNLIT sprites (that is, with no lights, flat style)
2. Then one adds some sort of "reflection map" simular to normal maps that are used in 3D to make some imperfections on a surface. This map represents "reflective" parts of the sprite and where it should reflect light to (0 to 180 degrees, top hemisphere). All manually, using hands.
3. Then one can combine these two textures (a flat texture and a "reflection" texture) with lights in real time using a shader.
4. PROFIT! Your sprites are beautifully lit in real time.
Again, this is just a random thought, but I will definitely try something like this in future.
As I understand, you don't have any flat sprites left, they are all statically lit?
And once again - thanks for your amazing work!
Awesome! Really, I love it.
Tell you what, if you add a tileset for the inside of a spaceship, I'll ditch my current graphics and use yours on my proyect. I don't care how far I've come, I'll start from scratch if needed be. Haha.
But really, it'd be great to have some more tilesets in your style.
Once again, love your work. Thanks for letting us use it!
Hey,
Thank you all!
KumoKairo, big thanks for such detailed comment! Someday I planning to add realtime light (maybe with sprite lamp), but in my own game, cause here it will make some difficulties for peoples who just need some sprites art for there games, and they didn't planning to base all game on this art.
TheStoreman, thanks! Yes, I have in plans to create some indoor environments for this set!
I created a topic, to keep you informed about what I do, and so you can leave your suggestions there: http://opengameart.org/forumtopic/tatermands-art#comment-33399
Hey everyone,
I made a tutorial about the style in which I work, so please, enjoy and leave your feedbacks!

Geart art , I am using it in my game.
Can you make an avatar for each of the characters ,
I found geat sketchs in the PSD files if you had time to complete them a little bit , It would be awsome
@Tatermand hi!.... you read this?
I had to register and comment how awesome your graphics look!! Best I've seen on the 'free' market!
I will definately have to use some of this!
Thanks again!
Amazing work
Would it be possible to have sketches of all these players? Might be useful for menu selections or similar.
Your work is really great,
just wondering I'm a programmer so I'm really clueless how to animate these things. Any chance of sprite based animations?
Also I second that comment about having the baked in lights removed. Diffuse + normal maps would be nice.
Anyway a big thanks for your work. It's really among some of the best here on opengameart!
I use the site for 6 months without registration, but after I saw your gear I registered on the website just to be able to comment YOU ARE A GOD (Translate into Google translator, I'm Brazilian)
i can just say that you are awesome.but i have a question:can you make some backgrounds for these?i may use them in my project.thanks.
great great art.
thanks for sharing !
Hi Tatermand.
Your art is awesome. Can you pls add some environments for the soldiers to fight upon, I would eagerly wait for it
!!!!!! Awesomest ever seen.
Your top-down art is amazing, especially the Sci-Fi Defence Pack. Exactly what I was looking for to flesh out my game concept.
Thank you for sharing these sprites for free! You helped yet another noob, after 10 years :D
