This is a fire animation as used in my game, Nyrthos (www.nyrthos.com).

It was quite a pain to create a good-looking and looping one, and almost every game out there needs fire, so I figured this might be a nice addition to OGA.

It is (40 frames) long, transparent and looks very good even when scaled up/down.

The ZIP file contains the animation in .png layers (transparent background).

Enjoy!

Attribution Instructions:

The animation is completely free to use in whatevere way or project you desire, be it a game, a hi-end visualisation of a camel poo, or whatever awesome you might think of. That being said, I‘d definitely love to see whatever you manage to do with it, so please please please, let me know if that happens!

Thanks for this awesome contribution to OGA!

This looks way better then my 5 frame fire animation I made to give game developers something to use. Very nice license too. I'm going to re-size this down and see if I can get it to work in a 32X64 and add some visable firewood underneath.

Awesome website and game, reminds me of one of my favorite RPGs, Divine Divinity.

I'll probably use this fire in my main game project, Ancient Beast, for Abolished unit.

I love this! In my game, when a character walks over a fire, he gets set on fire and this effect follow him around on his feet. It looks like his pants are burning.

I've included this asset in the AnyRPG Engine. Its been featured in a YouTube livestream at https://youtu.be/t4xqkYE9YrU and you've been added to both the in-engine credits, and the credits at anyrpg.org.
