For reasons not understood, the developer has made the code and the graphics in two different places. I have suggested him to put the whole thing in git repo. To try it out do a 'git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/erebusrpg/code' without the atostrophes obviously.
For our game Ironbane (www.ironbane.com) we're in need of some medieval sentences, and was wondering around here could help out with that? I'm not native English myself, so it's close to impossible for me. But I feel it's important that we convey this old English for some of the characters in the game, as we have a medieval/steam age atmosphere.
These do NOT need to be spoken with a microphone, just plain text messages.
simple question right? I have been searching google for an hour or so and found nothing that comes close to answering this question. Does art done in the same style as someone else constitute copyright infringement in an entirely original and unrelated work? This is not reusing characters or reusing already drawn art. This is about producing completely original art in a simular style. Is there a difference between imitation (copying someone's work) and and emulation (being inspired by it)?
I was recently downloading LPC sprite models and found that most of them added individualy meaning you have to manually open each one then click save image and repeat. A few people uploaded their sprites in a .zip or 7z or some kinda of file that held all the assests but they were few and far betwen. I think it would be great if there was a download all button or some way the files would be compressed into a zip making easy for the downloader to download them all.
I'm not usually this forward but I thought I'd ask for others opinions.
I've been looking around in the music section and noticed that... pretty much every submission is in MP3 format. I suppose that makes sense as it's such an easy format to distribute in. But... I have two issues with it.
I've got a pricing model in mind for advertisements that I'm hoping will be useful and affordable even for non-commercial projects (FOSS or otherwise). I'm looking to get people's thoughts on it.
I always login via OpenId. So I did a small script that adds a Button for logging in with a single click. Should be easy to adapt for other OpenId providers. Script (needs Greasemonkey or similar addons): https://dl.dropbox.com/u/45541625/oga_g_openid_login.user.js
EDIT: ATTENTION: There is a bug with it that prevents being able to write comments in rich-text box atm. I am on it. EDIT2: Fixed this
