ok so I see this site is for video games. I absolutely love the look of pixel art and old video games. I am a new table top game designer (card game board games). I am wanting to make a card game based on vintage games (ataria, nes, snes, etc...). I was wondering if using these images are strictly for video game use or just anything? and does anybody have suggestions on pixeled art. I do not mind putting recognition in the credits of the game rules.
TumbleGonk is a complete casual game that for various reasons was never published. A new indiegogo.com campaign aims to raise the required funds ($850) to release the game code and art under an open source license.
I'm making a game and trying to figure out the style of art to make. I have the character art and the buildings set, but not sure how to make a tree... was hoping I could get some feedback.
I don't really need a critique of the artwork itself right now, just on the perspective and which tree perspective works best with the girl/building perspective. Let me know also if I'm not explaining this well.
This link goest to image "example" and there are three tree styles... which one is best, or are none of them.
Hey everyone, I always like to post a little welcome message when I join a new forum so here goes. I'm a web/java programmer and I am getting into game design and since I am horrible at artwork I managed to find this site :)
I have an interesting idea, I think, for a new desktop/android game that I'd like to start on sometime soonish given the free time, so I thought I'd get to know a few artists around here and after I make some headway into the project myself I want to invite a pixel artist to join me in creating some custom art into the game.
