The things that interest me the most right now are a the mountains, adding things to current sets, and the snowy forest set. Although with the forest I'd like to redo the tileset first, it doesn't mesh with the other sets very well and has some artistic issues I don't want to try to work around. I'm thinking about editing together things I like from the desert set and from the town set so they'll work in the forest and as a good transition between the tiles so it's not as jarring when you change locations. What do you think?
I made an edit for the challenge here. I hope that's alright. I'm curious, can I enter more than once? I've been working on a larger and original tileset, although I doubt it'll be done in time.
I haven't been hanging out here for very long, but I can tell you why I haven't entered any challenges yet. The goal hasn't been clear cut enough, and there's been no advertisement of who won. For example, the smart phone game challenge was just too broad a category, and there wasn't any information on what the restrictions really were. Did low poly count mean 500 or 100 poly characters? What was the screen resolution for us pixel artists? Why not do a challenge like "Make something for a new Indiana Jones game", where the goal is a restricted, but interesting? Also, advertising who won should be on the front page with the art challenge, something like "Congratulations to Newcomer with their entry: the ghost of christmas past!"
Yeah, as I started working on this I realized how elegant they were. It's not easy to tile something that versitile with so few tiles. I'm impressed.

Thanks everyone! I'll be excited to see this in a game.
Shade the pelvis just like you did the ribcage.
Toeholds: Well, I had gotten the colors from a real photo and added blue, but a little more saturation wouldn't hurt.
I mostly do tilesets. What sorts of new ones are you looking for?
