Pretty tileset with a generous license.

I've been working on a platformer engine based on these graphics and some others from I made sure they were all cc-0. If anyone would like to see how it looks, here is a 2 part video:

Obviously there are still many bugs and what not, since it's a work in progress. I'd just like to show how I've used these graphics. Now, I know this is cc-0 but I still would like to credit the authors in the credit screen. Can you all maybe tell me what you want to be credited as? If I hear nothing, I'll just use "Surt, Sharm, Vk." with a link to

Also, I added some of my own graphics, even though I concider it programmer art, I don't think it looks too bad. I want to give what I made back to the community as a thank you.

As we speak I am working on a game inspired by Puzzlequest and Ascension the Deckbuilding game. I might have to try these graphics as a texturepack at some point :) The game will have mod support also so maybe a vegetable mod will be good to try the API!

Bart, thank you for your descriptive answer.

Now my problem is, that I have never ever sold a game, so I don't even know if the investment would be worth it. Lets say I make thousands of dollars, it would. But lets say I make tens, it would be a steep error. But then again, graphics may be key here regarding the amount and/or if I am going to make any money with this project at all.

I'll have to think long and hard, but your answer sure helps with the process.

Sharm, thanks for your advice too. I can see how the lack of transitions would decrease the amount of work that is needed drastically.

With regards,

I am willing to update the license if there are issues. But to be honest I don't know what the issue really is. Wulax's submission is CC-By-SA 3.0 as well, as seen here:, the only issue will be GPL, which is not on my submission. I take it, that if I add the GPL license, that it will be fine, right?

Besides, the author agreed on licensing the content in a later version of the license he chose, which means that even if his submission was cc-by-sa, I may upgrade it to cc-by-sa 3.0.

Please do correct me if I am wrong. Point is: I am willing to change it if there is a license issue, but I don't see what the issue is.

I hope someone is willing to look in to this, thanks in advance.

Edit: If BartK or any of the mods see that there is an issue, please do go ahead and change the license for me (if this is not too much work), it's just that I can see how that would speed up the process a lot, since there are already derivations, which needs to be updated in that case as well. And I don't want to ruin this really great submission by Makrohn.

That's actually really cool! it looks like he is straight from Serious Sam. Stuff like this makes me want to become a better programmer and learn 3D already.

You make such cool graphics! All your isometric tiles fit together nicely and make for a wide variaty of games!
