It would be cool if you cound jump with a mouse-click/finger-touch so it's playable on a slate/phone.
Also think jumping would feel better if you held button to charge jump power while running then the character jumps on button release. I don't think mario-floaty-jump really fits.
You reckon sprites to fit 64*64 would be a suitable pixel scale?
All vehicles traction driven for consistent physics, or hovery stuff too?
EDIT:
How about something along these lines:
Seperate sprites for weapons drawn on top of vehicle. EGA global palette.
Yes.

foz: Still plan to finish off those characters but probably not on time for the PDJ.
That said, the CC0 makes all the licensing options redundant, so it would be simpler just to have the CC0 option.
madmarcel: Off-beat isn't really m,y thing as I am largely absent of a sense of humor, but HTHM5 is fine so long as it'll be FOSS licensed.
bart: I certainly don't have any interest in officiality or winning.
You guy's let me know what you've got in mind and I'll shoose the most eligible suitor.
If neither involve a significant burden then I could possibly do both.
My typical daily conciousness period is 20:00UTC through 12:00UTC.
Should totally have had an art jam leading up to this.
Are team works okay? If so is there any specific place to go for hookups?
You might be able to make use of this: Simple broad-purpose tileset
I never got around to doing much in the way of characters however.
