ASE uses Allegro 4, not 5. Allegro 5 is a complete redesign and not compatible with 4.
In Ubuntu 10.10 there is a package named kde-config-tablet which has pad mapping options. I imagine there should be similar in Fedora.
Maybe "exclusive" isn't the best way to describe open art? :P
