I don't really know. It may be selfish, but if we're going to make a game for little kids, I at least won't care about it much, as I'm not a kid and I have no kids either. I was hoping we could strike a more general appeal that both kids or adults may possibly enjoy as long as they're fans of the genre.

I used to play some EGA roguelike a while back which looked a bit like this one, but I can't remember its name. I've never played any of the Ultima games though, but I do know the later games in the series have some pretty amazing music ^^
Well , right now i was actually going to work with testsubject. We might be able to work in some of your ideas tho. But i don't think making a game just for 3-year olds is that viable though.
It should be noted that, before you dive, head-first into any sort of project with me, my games are almost never finished. I lose interest in stuff extremely quickly and can hardly be called reliable. I just mainly make stuff for fun, but it seems like you do the same, so it could still be a good time even if no real result comes from it ^^

And the original Lunar definitely has its charm to it, I've never played it, but it does look good ^^ I can't speak much for how programming the Megadrive is, I've never tried it :P the only time I've been using assembly is when writing Atari 2600 games, and I can presume that is a lot simpler.
