The chicken game has many problem s especially with performance, redrawing the graphics is gonna be a lot of work too, I might be up for it tho, most of my current game ideas are terrible compared to it.
Maybe you can use a mine like this. But the style is obviously very different from yours, maybe I should revive the chicken game with these grpahics instead ;) it was just so bad tho

Gave each player a clearly defined target which their opponent must hit, instead of just all their pieces ^^
