This looks relevant although I don't know / don't have confidence that Flare has tile + avatar height value system. I know Baldur's Gate and Age of Empires I and II has the system of height and avatar values for tiles you have shown. I think even some basic steps could work; even without a system of height and avatar values for tiles in the Flare engine. Although I think that it would be better to have more natural looking tile options for building hills, slopes, ramps and stairs for all of the Flare tilesets.

I have been in contact with Clint Bellanger and I have a lot more clarity now and it looks good. I can legally sell my video game and the community can also be forever free to modify my video game:

*after a ~long series of confidential emails / out of respect Clint Bellanger I will only post a very small brief piece for educational reasons / to add closure to this thread*

Myself:
"So I can make a video game "built on" the Flare Engine and Fantasy core and all Open Source / GPL-3.0 License / CC-BY-SA license assets / components with proper permissions and with proper attribution of components creditor with credits and have a registered trademarked title and legally be the sole entity able to sell that exact version of the video game online? Also the community is legally forever free to modify my video game as long as the title is changed and the video game's content is at least once modified?"

Clint Bellanger:

"Basically yes on everything you said. This is one reason I chose the license, so that remixer and modders could safely release and sell their projects as long as they were also cool with other remixers and modders."

I am applying for a registered trademark for the title of my medieval fantasy setting decades long body of work. Of which I hope to apply also to my video game set within my own medieval fantasy world.

I also set up placeholder / dry run / work in progress versions of my online storefront pages on Itch.io, Steam and Good Old Games for when my video game is ready to launch.

I have a clear legally sound path forward and I feel that I have peace of mind in investing an insane amount of time understanding that legally I can sell my work put into making my own video game built on Flare Engine and Fantasy core and all Open Source / GPL-3.0 License / CC-BY-SA license assets / components with proper permissions and with proper attribution of components creators with credits.

I plan on releasing my own art assets as Open Source / GPL-3.0 License / CC-BY-SA / CC BY 3.0 License on at least Open Game Art for the community to use forever free.

I hope to release some play test pre-alpha (and then hopefully progressing to alpha) versions of my video game / R.P.G. for the community to hopefully enjoy and give constructive feedback to better improve my content creation process / video game content development.

Thank you for your time everyone.

Update: "Should be doable with the above described method of using multiple books. A button per recipe could be used to quickly craft things without having to place individual ingredients." @dorkster via https://github.com/flareteam/flare-game/discussions/859#discussioncommen...

This approach seems more reasonable in achieving a deep yet simple crafting system in Flare via using a "button per recipe could be used to quickly craft things without having to place individual ingredients". This 'craft recipe button' from 'books' approach looks like it can make everything less needlessly complex while also being more efficient to add / develop more / unique crafting recipes. The 'recipe list page' could also just act as a crafting page without grid squares and other complicated additions.

I am not sure if the button can be greyed out (like the skill / talent tree buttons) if the player does not have enough ingredients to craft the item. Although if the 'craft recipe button' could be greyed out (if the player lacks the required materials for said crafting recipe) that would be ideal; but if not it is not a game breaker. Even with just a simple message and or prompt informing that the player does not have enough materials to craft said recipe would be a success.

How can this system of using a "button per recipe could be used to quickly craft things without having to place individual ingredients" be set up successfully in Flare? Even just a template of two recipes / pages / crafting recipe 'book' feature demo or something to point myself in the right direction would be very helpful. I am just hoping to get the players able to collect ingredients and craft items from their adventures and I think this could be successful. Although I just have to figure out how to make it work now XD.

Yeah even so the armour looks really cool and most R.P.G. character items are armour related so it could be a big leap forward if even the plate mail was added for like it looks amazing and can fill in a spot of 'full / heavy' plate mail and the current set could be like half-plate / 'light' plate mail. I wonder if the chain mail texture can be used on the black areas for the Flare armours like making an armour set with chain mail underneath and plate / leather added on top? Even way I am pretty happy we have more assets to tinker with and hopefully make some cool Flare stuff with :-D!

https://github.com/flareteam/flare-engine/wiki/Attribute-Reference This is the best I can come up with in a pinch. When I get stuck I just look through this and try to see if I can find something that can work. Then test it, improve it and try again if it is still having issues. I am hoping 1.13 can add a few more ~tools / character progression with decimal support for stats so I suppose sometimes things might be added if after testing you still have issues. Iterate, iterate, iterate.

I think those are generic poses like open source bases. There are many things like that with making avatars and are pretty common. If it was a male avatar it would use male images sourced from around the web. Pretty common stuff.

As some old person might say to some younger people, 'Now you listen here you young whipper snappers': https://youtu.be/W674mdZPjjc?t=612 (~10:11) Why armour looks 'fat' from a real armourer who can make yourself a personal suit of plate mail armour.
