Here are some images of the level 2 I was working on, "Sunken City".
A level like "Aquatic Ruins Zone" in Sonic 2.

As you can see, in this level, the otter gets life by eating fish.

The level would be part above water, part under water (with the exit under water).

Unfortunately, I gave up :-(
I lack skills on level design, gameplay...
I am actually not motivated for making games any more :-(
I have 2 good news, though :
1) I made a last game for the OGA Fall 2020 Game Jam, named "One Night in Oga City". It is a visual novel made with Ren'Py. It will be uploaded tomorrow.
2) I will add Otters Island to the list of ideas. I will soon give more details on what the game should have looked like.

@Liberiton : if the author has not the picture without the animal, maybe you can use this : https://opengameart.org/content/beach-2d-backgrounds
Also, I have made a summer / beach collection :

No. They are assets I submitted, but now they do not appear any more in the "latest art".

Hello withthelove, sorry for the late answer. I will remake the xcf of the Winter jam, because I merged all layers, so I guess it would be useless for you.
You will have both of them today, or tomorrow.
Have a nice day.

Congratulations for inventing this method, then.
This topic drew my attention on your tracks. You are talented.
I guess I will add some of them to my favorites / collection.
