well.. you could clean it up and make it vector art or pixel art. It could be an effect (fancy particle or one-frame animation) or an icon for a spell. If you make the shape round or rectangle-ish it could be a game piece for puzzle games for example.

In a cleaner state this would look like a great guild logo.

hey thanks for this set! the water and sand look very nice and not so aggressive as I'm used to from this kind (light colors) of tilesets.

quite cool!

In case anybody else is sceptical at sight of the readme file regarding license, the copyright holders permitted cc-by-distribution on their blog in the comments: http://blog.spiralgraphics.biz/2011/02/nine-cartoon-backdrops.html?showComment=1297560272240#c3351357586853437092

Hey, thanks for the many replies!

Do you plan to have ads in the game or sell it?

Will the open source version be desktop-only or also again on android?

Cheers

Hi and welcome!

The 50,000 downloads are a good reason for somebody wanting to help you out at making a rather trivial game I think, so it's good you mentioned it.

What style do you want? Shiny-green-block style? What kind of background does your game support? Parallax? Is the animation loop frame number limited? Is the game playable on Linux/Win/Mac if we want to test it but don't have an android? Can you tell the dimensions you would like for the helicopter?

Do you have any money-making plans for this project?

Here's a helicopter I made: http://www.openclipart.org/detail/17687 do you want this style? :)

by the way, why no link to an official statement by wesnoth on this?

4nick8:sure, but you would have to have a lot of high-quality sounds to create a loop from. This is probably not less an effort than going in a swamp and recording it.

wow, amazing how many useful graphics this model generates :)

I tried it but it was unfortunately kind of confusing, which is probably because I have no clue about texture maps :)

I believe that jMonkeyEngine has/will integrate this software into their sdk
