Hi sunlight,

Just to update you I have started working on this however for some reason getting the tiles to actually tile is proving strangely difficult when renderer top down (the lighting is always slightly off at tile edges).

Unfortunately that means I couldn't get these done nice and quickly as I'd hoped and I'm going to be quite busy for the next 2 weeks now, after the 5th I will start work on these again. I hope the delay won't be too much of a problem!

Sorry about that!

Hey there!

You can do it several ways, the common are to have a CREDITS.TXT file where you could just have something like the following:

//Some information about your game license here

GRAPHICS:

background map (local path to the file here)

This work is published under the terms of the

Creative Commons Attribution Sharealike 3.0 Unported License (see CC).

For more information visit http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/legalcode

This image includes models by:

Kaschte - trees - CC-BY-SA 3.0

Daniel Stephens - map and buildings - CC-BY-SA 3.0

Alternatively if you ever have a main menu, you could have a button for 'credits' and put similar information there!

Aparently I can't upload the zip to OGA but you should be able to get it from my dropbox: here

That should have both the versions you asked for, if you only use the version without trees then you can use it as CC0 so don't worry about credit! :)

Derivative works made with this have to be released as CC-BY-SA as well, normally however code and art are licensed separately, so it would simply be that if you make a change to this image, you must release the change under the CC-BY-SA license and credit kashte and myself.

If you want I can remove the trees and then it can be released as CC0 (public domain)

If you want I can try to find the .blend file and rerender them as topdown or some other straight on projection?

Though these do look similar to pixel art they were actually created by rendering several 3D models, the camera is set to 30degrees below the horizontal if that helps? You could rename them 0, 90, 180, 270 if it makes it easier?

I don't think I understand the problem you are having!

Hey there, I'm bored of doing work so here's an attempt at a new map.

If you use this you need to credit 'Kaschte' as the tree models are his which he released under CC-BY-SA 3.0 which means I need to release it by the same license, I'm not too fussed about the attribution part tbh but if you want to credit me you can do so as "Scribe" or "Daniel Stephens"!

TL;DR :P

Attribution notice:

CC-BY-SA 3.0

Credit Kaschte for the trees

Credit me as Scribe or Daniel Stephens

@sunlight The numbers are the rotation around the z axis, 45degrees rotated, 135degrees (in 90degree steps)

I have never used sprite kit before but I would guess you would be able to just use the number as a string and call them as "45" or "45.png" or similar, sorry I can't be of more help, you could always rename the images though that might be a lot of work!

Hi there,

Incase you are still having trouble finding/creating this here you go!

As rubberduck suggested this was made very quickly in blender, if you are planning to do a lot of stuff like this then I would suggest you learn the basics of blender, animating a cube is very simple.

Thanks both of you :)

That would be awesome if you could do that 810! I may be modelling the 'Imp' mech later on as well so I may just put it with this one as an edit.
