As anyone who wrote this post probably realised long ago, I gave up on this project due to a general lack of motivation and time. But if anyone else can take any inspiration from the very small amount written or feels like expanding it or possibly using it in its entirety, please feel free.
@Killyoverdrive Nice additional tiles! Though you might want to add a link to the ground textures and credit Spiney as you have uploaded a preview image using his work.
@Tapio Hmmm that is weird, the textures are definitely correct for the blender UV's though my unwrapping is not that great! I may try to unwrap it using a slightly different method and see how that works out, as currently its unwrapped in a spherical fashion which might be messing up when its exported to .obj. I don't know why that would be but I will unwrap it again in a more rectangular style and reupload.
If any more experienced texturers read this and know how so solve the problem please let me know :)
Yes that would be fine, though I'm not really sure what gpl3 entails. You can just use it as CC0 if thats more useful as it isn't exactly the best art I've done :P
Hey @Banefane you don't have to credit me though if you do you can either do so simply as Scribe or as Daniel Stephens, whatever suits you :) glad you like them!
I really like the look and feel of your game idea, reminds me a lot of the portal games!
I currently don't have time to be a regularly participating part of a team however I can do 3D modelling, 2D art and SFX all reasonably well as well as bad music tracks!
So if there is a list lying around of things that need modelling/drawing/sound effects needed I might be able to do a few of them from time to time!
I hope you guys don't mind me giving a few critiques on the mercenary! To me @farrer, the origial version looks a bit washed out but @qubodup I think you have saturated the skin too much so it's a little yellow. I have created a version with the skin almost the original colour but with the rest darken, I think it could still be improved though :) What do you guys think?
Thanks PerfectM and qubodup! :D

@Charlie
The floor tiles appear to be straight from this texture pack http://opengameart.org/content/metalstone-textures and specifically http://opengameart.org/node/12109 uploaded by Spiney. (the later of those links seems to only show them licensed under CC-BY-SA 3.0 though I think they are also licensed under CC-BY 3.0)

Hi,
I'm not a pixel artist so I'm sure someone else can do a better job but this might work for placeholder art...
