I'm glad you like them. Looking more closely now I can definitely see some seams which is a shame but possibly if you render enough you will be able to find a set which are seamless with eachother!
This has no post processing and is output directly from blender, very originally the tiles and partical grass system come from Clint's submission here: http://opengameart.org/content/grass-and-water-tiles so take a look at what he did.
I can't remeber exactly what I have changed from there other than obviously the camera angle! I also have some code which changes the partical seed automatically each render but you can at least get started with his work there.
I am amazed myself at the download count, 180 in a day for some green squares, that must be some sort of record! :D
Anyone, I hope you have luck altering Clint's work if you choose to use that, if you want to PM me I can probably email you my own blender file that I used for these.
Maybe I'm too late for this post, but here are some possible 64x64 tiles for you, they are somewhat randomly generated by changing the seed of a partical system in Blender (originally by Clint Bellanger, though I've altered it quite a bit by this point). I've tested most of them and they seem to tile together fine, but maybe thats my eyesight! You (and anyone else) can use these freely under CC0 license.
Those are no under an open source license as such, though are probably fine for your usage, terms extract - 'You are allowed to use the sounds free of charge and royalty free in your projects (such as films, videos, games, presentations, animations, stage plays, radio plays, audio books, apps) be it for commercial or non-commercial purposes.' though they can't be redistributed as just sounds or used in applications made solely for the sound effects etc...
I have updated the art submission with some 30px versions
This has been very useful pixel art practice, I'm quite happy with how these turned out, especially the book, eye, bag and hand!

Hi Construed,
Here are some GUI icons:
I hope they are useful :)

EDIT
you can now find these and 64px versions here: http://opengameart.org/content/gui-buttons
Updated animation!
To not get this confused when the competition goes to voting, I am adding any updates (that have taken this project to over an hour) here temporarily.
Once the competition is finished I will edit the main post to include them.
Thanks,
Scribe
EDIT: double posted for some reason, sorry about that.
Anyway, I have changed it to be only one preview which is a gif, hope that helps :)
Hi Sharm,
Hopefully the second preview image is already a gif, if not I will upload one when im back at my computer!
Thanks,
Scribe
Thanks for the comment Clint.
Have done as you suggested!
Too late to enter unfortunately, but I made: http://opengameart.org/content/svg-cutlass as a result of this competition
Was fun using SVG's for the first time!

Overview when all are tiled randomly:
I found this: http://soundbible.com/563-Camera-Shutter-Click.html though if used it requires attribution to Mike Koenig
I also found quite a few here: http://www.soundjay.com/camera-sound-effect.html and http://www.soundjay.com/polaroid-camera-sound-effect.html
