So, we see a lot of art based on the Dawnbringer palettes (16 & 32 colors), and also Arne's 16 color palette. While I love the idea of general purpose palettes, I think we may also benefit if there were some color palettes with some specific themes in mind.
Off the top of my head, I can think of several ideas for themed palettes:
Looking for 2d game artist, that can make sprites for a game based in space. We will supply you with some of our example on how we want the sprites to look aswell as a list. Like a lot of folks I love the simple multipurpose set to death, and wanted to something to expand it even more. So I started redrawing icedman's randomly generated little people to match the Arne palette and the size/look of the hero characters, to be various NPCs to stand around and give out quests/be imperiled/enjoy giant coffees and pot. Here's how it's going so far.
I am making a game on stencyl can someone draw up a main character for me? I need the character standing, running left, running right, jumping left, and jumping right. I am thinking little in the lines between Cole Macgrath and Chris Redfield.
I'd like to use a certain tileset for a game that incorporates a specific palette (http://opengameart.org/content/dawnlike-16x16-universal-rogue-like-tiles...). I'm not an artist at all and generally have a poor eye for aesthetics, so I would greatly appreciate if anyone could answer these questions for me:
When a 'palette' is used, does that mean that only those exact colors in the palette are used? Or is it possible that they can be mixed together or changed slightly?
i wanted some decent sprites for my new game, and stupidly didn't write down who some sprites were designed by. Frotunatly i realised my mistake before i put the game on the google play store (thus braking certain licences) and looked for the authors of the sprites. I have found all the crators (and referenced them) but before i couldn't find the author of these sprites. If you could tell me who made these sprites so i could give them credit i would be very happy
