i wanted some decent sprites for my new game, and stupidly didn't write down who some sprites were designed by. Frotunatly i realised my mistake before i put the game on the google play store (thus braking certain licences) and looked for the authors of the sprites. I have found all the crators (and referenced them) but before i couldn't find the author of these sprites. If you could tell me who made these sprites so i could give them credit i would be very happy
I've been around for a little bit, found LPC and OGA about mid-last year and love all the resources available. While I'm still working on trying to get my game started, I'm also trying to work on some new sprites to go with my characters I've already created. I'm hoping to use as many existing hairstyles as possible, and recently I've helped out Joe White a bit in touching up the existing LPC hairstyles (there's still a couple of minor issues in the automation script that he's still working on).
I'm quite sure there is something appropriately already made, but I don't know how to search OpenGameArt for it.
For my current RPG project, I want to give the monsters home locations. So each monster will "decorate" its home location - and I look for graphics suitable for such. That could be pelts, piles of straw, sorts of nests, or anything to make a sleeping place comfortable. If you remember Dungeon Keeper, you know what I'm looking for :D
If you know where or how to find such graphics, please give me a pointer :)
I was developing a 2D 32x32 tileset which I might post here (i.e., it isn't really tied to an existing project) but I had some questions on which I am looking to get some feedback. Generally, I would like to make a tileset that is "typical" enough that it can be widely used but I am not sure if some of my choices might limit its usefulness.
I'm not exactly sure if this is the right location for a post such as this. However, this will be my first attempt at creating a tileset and I want to make sure I am doing it correctly. Also, forgive me if my terminology is incorrect.
I would Love to see new works on oga also for my own game.
I know 3D arts on Blender which are high quality open and well suited for Roleplaygames and such.
I'm looking for a 2d pixel artist interested in a pokemon style game for android.
The workload would be 2d sprites along with backgrounds and simple spells/attacks and a map. The design would be your creativity with our comments.
The plan was about 170 creatures. If the work would be too much maybe we'd grab a second artist or reduce them with this idea to have it based on genetics. So you'd design a few sets of wings, bodies, teeth, limbs, heads, etc and we'd combine them in different sets.
