I was wondering, ever since that one lewdartist controversy (Which was somewhat my fault, my apologies), I was wondering if we could talk about what our policy should be for hosting content of a more lewd nature, IE for use in 3d-animated NSFW art and such.
I know that we have a fair few sexualized characters which're considered kosher; like Grapple Girl or my own Goblin Queen; but on stuff more explicictly/specifically meant for that sort of thing I think it might be a good idea to examine the possibility of hosting it, but doing so responsibly.
When Going to Browse > Textures, the "Search" input field is filled with "field_art_type_tid[]=14" instead of nothing - and art type "Texture" remains unchecked. Also searching for 2D art returns every type of art for me
Another small thing i noticed is that the header of Leaderboards > Weekly > Favorites(Textures) says
"Weekly Leaderboards: Favorites (Sound)" and not "Weekly Leaderboards: Favorites (Textures)"
I was thinking, sometimes I make revisions to my submissions that are significant changes. But these updates are not put at the front of the "Latest Art" list. And maybe that is best, so that fresh submissions are not pushed back. But I think it would be a good feature to have an option in the "Sort by" field of the "Advanced Search" page that would sort results by the latest revision date.
I don't see anywhere on user profile pages that shows on which submissions they are collaborators. For example, on my Statues & Fountains Collection, I have added some users as collaborators. But their profiles don't reflect this (at least, not that I found). I think it would be a nice feature.
Hey, I'm trying to upload some songs I made, but every time I try to save, the page goes white and says "opengameart.org is unable to handle this request" or sometimes the save button just does nothing.
I'm not sure how to properly report this, or what I should do.
I recently was informed that I had hit the "Report Spam" button on someone's submission. There was nothing wrong with the work & my spam report was completely by accident. I blame my small touchscreen.
I would like to request some kind of confirmation text/dialog be shown when a user hits the "Report Spam" button to prevent future accidental reports. Not sure how big of a problem it is, but I think it would be a good idea either way.
I am curious if OpenGameArt.org's website/API is open source. If it were available on GitHib, people wanting to contribute (including myself) could create pull requests for review & possible implementation. Personally, I have a limited knowledge of web languanges. But I would like to help out where I can.
I don't want to sound impatient. The admins & developers here on OGA are doing a great job. I just feel like the site itself may benefit from community development contributions if it is not already so.
