i place an add in a freeadd news paper, and get a revenue from it, then the editor decides he/she doesnt want to advertise in the paper anymore, can you sue for that?
Im pretty sure that OGA reserve the right to takedown, remove, block, delete or any sort of action at its own discretion if it feels that rules are broken or certain behavior warrants it.
We understand this when we upload and use the site in general, if we didn't agree then we wouldn't/shouldn't use it.
should we not comply with the rules then we have to accept the concequence's or 'punishment' as you want to call it.
Warnings were made and ignored, so is that really the fault of OGA?
scenerio:
policeman stops me for speeding and warns me that if i do it again i will get a ticket. i ignore them carry on speeding. i get caught again, i get a ticket, by getting a ticket i also get a fine, and 3 points on my license, and now my car insurance has gone up because of the 3 points i now have.i cant afford to drive now, so i cant get to work. im going to lose money.
Should i sue the police force? i think i might get laughed at if i tried, i was warned and broke the rules.
I don't see how you can sue OGA for any liabilities, or for loss of earnings, it's nothing more then a platform for sharing art, and if you get clients from it then that's great, but in no way should it be perceived as a guaranteed income or relied upon as such. Technically what your saying is if Bart was to take down the site for his own reasons, you would sue him for doing so? It' seems a little bit out there.
also again, MikeUSA account was blocked because his frequent abuse of the RULES set out here, and if those rules are broken then admin are I titled to take action on regards to the offence, I'm sure the judge would see that too.
i think maybe it's best for MikeUSA and OGA to determine what action To take and maybe he can resolve the issue with OGA and come to a better understanding, I can appreciate your frustration with him being a great contributer to your project, but you should leave it for them to sort out.
as mentioned above that his portfolio can still be seen within the search.
MikeeUSA account was banned for continued rule breaking.its that simple guys, he was warned on more than one occasion. It's a shame that his work is now blocked, but that is just the way it is.
Honesty, if other users are not taking your criticism or comments kindly and are being abusive or negative towards them, then show some resolve and don't give them the satisfaction of lowering yourselves to their level and be abusive back, just leave the post and move on. Not that I support bad comments, but should you feel it necessary to respond in a negative way then I suggest sending a private message. comments posted openly like they have been on this thread leave a bad taste in ones mouth and it doesn't portray those users in a good light, nor does it OGA, any new comers visiting the site could well be put off by reading, and I'm sure once the admins pick it up might say something about the conduct here and act occordingly.
I've read through this thread and I'm completely baffled by all the posts that have become negative and nasty.
some of this doesn't make any sense so I'm sure posts have been removed by admins at some point.
i think any work put into any project and by whom should be applauded, there our many efforts made, and it's great that it shared with the community for comment, and hopefully those comments can be taken constructively, even if it's criticisms.
but we should all treat each other Respectfully, regardless of our views and opinions, Respect is key, especially in a community like OGA.we may not agree with everyone's views or whatever, but be we should respect them either way. Which sadly we seemed to have lost that somewhere in this thread and is now in my view/opinion overshadowed by nastiness and name calling.
Not sure what the score value you need to be silver etc, but just keep submitting your work and you will eventually gain higher medals, it works like that for all categories.
May be try the forums on the software program you are using, there should be someone on there that shares tutorials for hints and tips and that's proberbly the best place to look.:)
there is a tutorial section here on OGA, I haven't been through it myself, but there maybe some posts there too, or if not perhaps if Someone has the time they could post/create there own tutorial here.:)
