I think the way the boxes are stacked is very odd.  It looks like they are just floating in the air.  The boxes look nice, though.

Thanks Tracy.  If you use the art for anything, let me know.  I would love to see any derivative work or games using this art.

I think the sprite-to-rig approach works well if you have a way to use such a format.  I helped kickstart the Spriter tool.  You should look it up!  Remember my first submission?  That was totally meant to be used in a rig-based animation system.

Anyway, nice work.  I like your workflow.  You should consider getting Paint Tool Sai or Flash for making the lines, though.  Illustrator also works well.  Beyond that, there is Animation Studio and Pencil and a few other tweening/layering tools which will allow you to manage body parts fairly well.  I still recommend Spriter, though.

I'm not sure I understand your job situation, but thanks for the textures.

The thinner style is definitely an improvement.  I also like the scarf animation, but I question why a robot would have one.  Oh well.

Funding levels?  I am not sure what you are referring to.

I could help you if there was adequate compensation involved.

xhrit, is Xenos strictly for 2d games?  what are the performance bonuses to porting to Lua?  Sorry, I have not messed with the engine yet, but it definitely interests me.  I'm not very fond of how Unity camera and character controllers work, because I can't see all of the code.  All I can do is look at an API doc.  I imagine that's why some people are opposed to Flash, as well.  (Though you can easily retrieve the AS3 source libraries.)  Anyway, I'm gonna check this Xenos engine out.

I like the shadow behind the sprite.  It makes the character stand out amongst the tiles.

Very good polycount!  I rarely see such detailed work with such high optimization.  Very nice work.  The texture is nice.  Not too large, not too small.  I recommend starting with a large texture and just scaling it down as needed. :)

Do you *really* need a pro license?  It doesn't seem worth the money when most of the important features of Unity are already free.

Good luck with the project.  You should definitely seek Steam Greenlight as a long term goal.
