...Don't make me come over there... xD

Seriously, though, sprites aren't necessarily pixel art--they're 2-D assets, but they could be painted or w/e.

Unfortunately, the only engine I know that meets the description is RPG maker (pictured in the first post, I think?), which of course isn't OS.  That doesn't mean there isn't one, but from my brief searches I didn't find any free RPG engines beyond those posted above.

It won't let me add a description! :[
Anyway, if you use this, please link back to OGA as part of credit. I'd also like to know if you use it, because I'll want to see your creation. Note that my homepage is >not< part of credit. I'm hoping to come back and add more detail and polish more when I get back from my trip, which I am about to go on.

@Clrg: I think that that's the third time I've gotten that. Though the style it's intended for isn't animated, I'm definitely considering making an animated version (though it would probably have a few less colors and such).

That's really nice! I imagine that they would be a pretty versatile resource, since just a simple resize and reskin makes several different version.

Hey, nice collection! I really like your designwork and colors on these.

I'm thinking something Seussian, similar to what was done in Rice Boy (a comic whose visual style, at least, I must admire).

Very nice! I look forward to facing off with him in OSARE!

Note: minibosses are often some of the best/most memorable antagonists (Pazuzu in FFMQ, Kamu in Lufia II, Gilgamesh in... anything Gilgamesh is ever in, ever).

Hmm... I saw Sphere, but the site I found hadn't been updated in a long time (thus leading me to the assumption it was dead).  Good to see it's not.
