Generally this shouldn't affect your code license (ie. non-open source is okay), but I am not a lawyer, so you'll want to get professional legal advice as well.

I personally don't care about filenames, as long as the entries are searchable. I always rename the file when I import it into my project anyway.
In the case you mentioned, I'd personally name the submission the song's title, and then put the genre in both the tags and the description.
I'm surprised no one has made this into a Flare mod yet...
I don't really think it looks that unnatural. I certainly wouldn't have noticed until you brought it up. Even then, it feels somewhat intentional.
I've been using the new search lately and it is awesome; great work, Bart! The only thing I'd suggest is being able to also sort by number of upvotes.
