Flare's engine can't handle turn-based gameplay. However, the art could certainly be highly reusable in a game engine that does.

Is this supposed to end JANUARY 21st? Or is it a week long contest like the others?

Wow, nice additions in that "easy to use" sprite sheet. That's going to make it MUCH easier for me to write an animation script.

This is really great! Now I'm madly brainstorming games I could use this in.

Yes. Just yes. I might give a try over the weekend. I'll probably be using pyglet/pymunk.

Can I just take a moment to thank the judges for taking on the monumental task of playing all the games? I don't think anyone could have realized it was going to take so much work to build/test them all. Keep up the good work!

Wow! Don't be fooled by the single preview, there's a ton of art in this submission!

Great work!

I'd definitely mark my art to allow ads. I support any (ethical, tactful) way of bringing in some more money to fuel OGA.

I've had nothing but good experiences with the ads by Project Wonderful. That might be a good platform to look into.

Botanic also noted that Blender does sell tshirts as part of their revenue. I wonder what it would take to do some sort of an "OGA tshirt contest." The only problem would be knowing if there would be enough demand. Maybe pre-orders? Note also how the noun project lets you pick nouns and turn them into shirts/iPhone cases/buttons/etc...

@xhrit: I'm really interested in your 'Turn Phases' system; I think it significantly contributes to the balance in PvP games.
