After much IRC hubbub and many an hour of grueling work, it's finally here: Ultimate Smash Friends' first open-source game crossover! This is Surge the rabbit, the eponymous protagonist of the OpenSurge project. He is orange, he wears light-up shoes, he has powers of electricity and enough character appeal to give him an edge in any fight. Big thanks to the OpenSurge team for their permission and participation in giving constant and helpful feedback, and to all the helpful folk on OGA's IRC.
As part of CC-By, be sure to link both to this site at opengameart.org, and to the OpenSurge project at http://opensnc.sourceforge.net. Also, contacting me would be awesome, because I'd really love to see what you do.
This work was commissioned by Open Game Art.

The 'arms back' running seems very weird.
You beat me on the crossover sprite - was gonna make Dark for USF but I couldn't get USF working and she'd end up looking raucous anyway.
Great work as always ... you should add a trowing animation to the sheet and the upgraded version should have lighning coming out of his eyes , other then that it looks bad ass. Aaaa and befor I forget ... you shoud Do a barrel roll!
awesome artist ;-)
the redshrike i know.
i'v got an advice from a really newbie newbie, the animations need a little of aniticipation, like.. if you are jumping you go down a little first. Or if you will give a kick to the guy in front of you... the body goes back a little and after it you kick.
In this way the sprite are a little robotics.
Cheers redshrike =)
and have fun :P
I think I want to use this. Whats the size of individual sprites?
This Sprite has been adapted and will be used for Sprinter Quest on Android! Thanks for creating such a great character!
See the adaptation here: It's amazing!
