Anybody here heard what is going on? I can't get any clear answers from Unity about all the publishers that have been removed. Also whether it is safe to even buy assets from the Unity Asset Store anymore. Anyone know of other safe sites like TurboSquid or CGTrader? Thanks
I plan on adding saving, loading, and other stuff in the future. I would like to hear you guys' suggestions for improvements since generally people don't really coment on itch besides "add more options". The source code is here: https://github.com/shatreal/ppc
I'm not an english or Japanese native speaker and just wanted to make sure lol. Are all Denzi's assets free to use? Here: www3.wind.ne.jp/DENZI/diary/
I just need to make sure, and to avoid copyright issues. I'm mostly a programmer and currently working on a small RPG game made with Java for educational purposes and to test my OOP skills. I might end up publishing it on itch.io (for free)
cc-by 4.0 and oga-by 3.0 allow a person to use the spritesheets in a closed source game engine like clickteam fusion 2.5, but cc-by-sa 4.0 and any gpl derivative do not. is my interpretation correct?
So I found this spritesheet on Scratch, marked Public Domain but heavilly blurred, after following the image trail, I found the more enhanced version you see below, and also that marked on the spritesheet is essentially "made by CollegeKid, free for anone to use." After searching for the image, I found it on several Russian game development sites. What concerned me was that on one site the sheet was under "game rips. is there anything else I could try to find the origin?
NOTE: THE SHEET BELOW MAY NOT BE PUBLIC DOMAIN AND THUS SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR ANYTHING.
I'm currently submitting a peice of art made by another person, and I set the yes no option as such, but when I went to subit it, it says I need to fill out the author field, which I cannot find. Can anyone help?
I think that the terms might prohibit posting them directly on OGA because of the search feature, but it looks like derivative works ought to be in the clear, even as CC0.
