Is it ok that I use this forum for posting about a My Little Pony fangame which I've made, I feel you'll be a lot more helpful than than the brony community when it comes to game design/feedback, on the other hand I am also well aware that MLP is copyrighted content which I know is unwanted on this site.
However, the game was made 100% by me using no assets ripped from Hasbro or other official sources, none of the characters from the show actually appear in the game, and the phrase "My Little Pony" is not part of the game's title.
Hey My name is Tyran Cordine (stage name), I just a normal guy wanting to make a game. As you can tell from the name of this forum topic, I am looking for artists to help with the development of a platformer game.
The game is a metroidvania style game with a sonic the hedgehog mixed with Mario kind of art.
The game will be full of NPC's with their own story and daily routine and the player can help them out to acquire certain things.
EDIT: i realize samples can't be "open source" , they'll always be binaries
Hi, just wanted to hear if there were any interest in me compiling a FOS sample library from my different synths, I know you can just do it yourself with vsts, so maybe it's sorta pointless, but who knows, if you have any interest let me know! I know i'm not being that specific, but i thought i could sample instruments on demand.
But please feel free to tell me if this project seems useless, as i am aware that vsts can do the exact same thing.
I made a little number called 'Instant Pixel Palette Scramble!' for this summer's OGA game jam. You can find it (and all the other wonderful entries) over at the OGA game page: https://itch.io/jam/opengame-art-game-jam
Hello, my name is Chris and i'd like to be part of a new project sometime soon. I haven't posted much to the site in a while or done much game design work in general as of late, but I'd like to again.I am skilled in 3D modeling and texturing but I can also do basic pixel art and vectors. I have recently left another game project that was a 3D FPS game. I'd prefer to work on something open source for once, it could be a community project. I don't mind doing a small commercial one either though.A project designed to take a couple weeks or a few months I would be in the long run for.
Hi again, I'd like to introduce my 3d scene editing tool in development called Scene Goblin. For the most part Scene Goblin is a real time rendering engine and editor I've created to make game maps and cgi scene creation super simple.
Although I can't release it as free software, I plan to market my program at a very very fair price that will appeal to new and professional artists on a budget or anyone that wants a simple scene editing tool for production art or education.
Got a bunch of sprites I'd like to tinker with palette swapping and was wondering if anyone knew of any good tools for that sort of thing?
In the past, I've just sort of done things by hand in the Gimp with a combination of 'select by color' followed by 'flood fill', but have enough images that I'd kind of like something a bit quicker this time.
I have a question. Recently I submitted a collection of music themes composed mainly for space shooter games. I can see my collection in the "Home" section of the web, under "NEW ART COLLECTIONS". But when I try to locate it from the browser, it does not appear even typing the exact name of the collection. What is the reason?
I am using Blender to develop assets and Unity 3D for the final products.
My goal is not so much a game as an interactive "map" that goes along with a short novel I am working on for my grandsons.
I'd like them to be able to visit the sites in the book though it is so very hard to compete with imagination!
I have searched various sites for best practices regarding things like:
1) Folder structure(s) to make working as efficient as possible; do you leave the Blender files in your Unity project or do you have some form of deployment?
