Hi everyone, sorry if i got you excited about another jam, its not happening yet, i just want to know what everybodys thoughts are on running a 'theme' this year?
I basically made a weird "thicc" creature inspired by British Gaming Icon Horace, and a friend of mine rigged it, and I was wondering, is the design too similar to the original to be usable as an open piece of game art?
For reference:
So, is it too similar to the original, or is it okay if I post it?
I was looking through the fonts on this site and I see that many of them are uploaded in .png form. I need them in a font format (.ttf etc) to be usable. is there a site or tool I can use to do that? Bitmap or vector, it doesn't matter.
Hello everyone! I wanna submit the art of my game but when oga offers me licenses to choose there is no CC-BY-NO-SA 4.0 option (which is the license I use). Also I made a quick search in the faq but can't see nothing related. Is this intentionally in some way or can I submit under another compatilbe license?
Hi Everyone, my name is Sam, and Im a college student majoring in Digital Art at Cañada College in Redwood City, CA. Your career path is very inspirational to me I dont know very many people in this industry. As an aspiring artist, Id love to learn more about which skills youve used the most and what youd expect from an entry-level employee in your department. Im sure youre busy, so even 20 minutes would be greatly appreciated. Can anyone answer some informational questions? You can reply on this post.
been working on the monster i did from Surts scraps. its a NES version. i have a gap that i would like to fill(yellow box) to try and utilise the space and not have such a big gap. but i cant think of anything to put in it. theres 4 directional movement, up,down, left, right, bite,or shoot projectile, and a background sprite for GUI or whatever. i thought about showing the back of the monster but not sure thats would be useful. so any ideas to fill the gap would be helpful. :)
Hypothetically, if I was thinking of funding some open-source tilesets, how much would that cost? pixel art, vector or 3d are ALL options. I don't want to put this in art requests because I don't want anyone to make anything. Size-wise I would be talking about a tileset big enough for a complete game. I would license the art under CC-By.
