Question on Perspective from a Curious Programmer

Hi folks, I'm in the early stages of developing a retro style 2d game for fun (so I may have some work to throw your way in the future!) ;). As a programmer, I know next to nothing about graphics/projections and stuff like that and I have a question about the graphics in this game:

New copyright law

Today european parliament passed away new copyright law today. As you see they revived it permanently at this time.

Coming Soon: The Fall All-OGA Game Jam!

Based on discussion and feedback from the wildly successful OpenGameArt Summer 2018 Game Jam, I'm volunteering to host another OGA Game Jam.

Calling this one 'The Fall All-OGA Game Jam! 2018'

If I put together an itch.io page for it can someone add the top left sidebar and sticky forum links for it on OGA?

Also, does October work as a month for the Jam?

This one will be a slight change from the Summer Game Jams.

Game works, what is next ?

Hi folks, first I'd like to thank the community here for all the awesome arts available. I'm a french student in computer science, currently doing a master's degree, and even though I have good results doing the actual game, I'm not skilled enough (or at least I didn't learn it yet) to make good graphical resources myself. That's why it's a relief to be able to count on such a wide collection.

Which licenses require attribution by name?

Hey there. I've been working on a ton of assets to share on here, but I'm totally new to submitting. Could anyone please tell me which licenses require the user to credit me by name? Thanks. :D

Are camouflage patterns copyrighted?

Hello, does any of you know, if it is legal to use common camouflage patterns in open source projects?

I made some photos of military camo clothes with the intend to use them for game art, but now I'm not sure, if that is even legal, since I read somewhere that camouflage patterns are copyrighted or at least some are.

It is not special camo patterns, just the generic ones you get on all the clothings, like woodland, urban etc so they cannot be that copyrighted, if everyone uses them for their clothes, or does everyone who uses them buy a license?

Model "sketches" for free use! Maybe?

Well, inspired by Surt's CC0 Scraps thread, I thought I might as well try my hand at a similar sort of thing. Because, while I can't really rig or animate or even really texture very well, I like to kitbash together models in TinkerCAD, using a combo of the default shapes and CC0 models, and I was thinking they could serve as good bases released under CC0 for somebody who's actually competent at texturing/animating/rigging to turn into resources if they think it's cool!
