What is your usual process for it? Do you come up with some theme before you start writing? Or do you just write something that came to your mind and then kind of adjust that to the theme along the way?
How do you choose your instruments and synths? Do you just pick whatever sounds fitting or do you maybe create some new synth? How do you add some variety to your track?
Where do you start with your music? Do you come up with a chord progression or bass line first, or maybe you start with the melody?
Throughout our discussions thus far, we've found ourselves within a grey area regarding the licensing and copyright status of works generated by AI models trained on public data that possess ambiguous or mixed licenses. Consequently, such works are no longer permissible on the OGA platform due to these unresolved legal uncertainties.
Hey, would something like this be ok? I wanted to ask here first as I wasn't sure after reading the FAQ even if proper attribution is given. I would use them as part of a habit tracking/self improvment game you play on your fridge, sold on etsy. Thanks!
Recently I tried Micro$oft Dalle2 just for fun; one of the games I would like to make sometime will be about mechs, so I inputed a few words and got the attached pics (is it fine to upload them here?, not sure about license of those).
Well, I got really surprised, it removed the need to get someone to make 2d art.
It needs a bit of curation but otherwise it looks great.
Would someone still be bound by the attribution requirements of a CC-BY 4.0 licensing agreement if they use or feature said content as part of a Youtube video or stream for a brief time?
For example a gamedev making a game and browsing for suitable downloaded audio to use in their game with the author and title barely visible on screen.
Also, how far would you consider going to ensure the licensing conditions are adhered to without compromising your public profile? or coming across as overbearing or controlling?
I was thinking that it might be a good idea to have a featured bar on the homepage with all the art submisions, for whenever there's an art challenge. That way, people who submit early won't get buried under other submissions, and miss votes they would have otherwise gotten.
i am fascinated by AI art, and would love to hear opinions on the tech, the licensing issues as far as web scraping that's used to create the datasets, etc.
so i made a thread to talk about it. thoughts? it's certainly a useful technology, but the ethics (and as of yet untested legal waters) of using datasets that are derivative of copyrighted material are an interesting subject, as is the technology itself.
Hello everybody. I would like some help in understanding the logic behind the objects available here on the site where some artists make their projects available under CC0 license but prevent the objects from being resold. As far as I know, CC0 is a public domain license where whoever made it available under these terms has waived all copyrights to that work.
