Ofcourse, My contribution will be small but could be usefull to someone.

I introduce myself.

I am a programmer in Java language. I like play games and I watched the logic code for some free game engine. Over all Javascript game engine.

I believe that I can develop logic for some simple game.

ey! I forgot that I am learning english too. Please, acept my apologize for my bad language.

New here, want to contribute. What are the most needed sounds?

Hi all,

So I just discoved this place via reddit, and I'm really digging it. I'd like to start contributing some work.I've been doing video post for years, but I'd like to contribute to games.

What are the most needed sounds? Searching around it looks like there are a bunch of interface beeps, and monster sounds on here. Other than that, would would be the most useful things?

Not Completely sure about the licensing

So im planning to make a game on PSP. This game will be entered into a contest

and yes there are prizes. I know everything here is free to use as long as we give

credit to the site and artist. My question is the licensing like GNU GPL 2.0, CC-BY 3.0 etc.

For example, if i wanted to use these sprites, how would i go about crediting them?

Joypads - PS3 SIXAXIS and XBox 360

Either this is a recent development or I have an exceptional talent for not noticing things, but today I discovered that XBox 360 pads are supported by GNU/Linux. Unlike the official Windows DirectInput driver, the triggers are mapped to individual axes and the central logo button is accessible.

Some interesting models but only on facebook

http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=81849

License sound to me more or less like CCO, but the models are only on facebook (I don't have an account and don't plan to get one), and maybe some one could contact the guy through facebook for license clarification?

Thanks.

Human Reference Images

I have been looking around for good creative commons reference images of the human body. ultimately i just want, front, back and side shots of a male and female. one would have thought this would be quite easy, but it appears no such thing exists.

One would think it would be right up Wikimedia's alley, however this is as close as Wikimedia gets:

I have plenty of internal anatomy imagery

Searching for orientation at art style for game.

Hi, I am currently having trouble with deciding about the art style of an game I am going to develop and thus looking for references, thoughts and inspirations for it.

The game will be an topdown 2D RPG playing in an virtual reality (e.g. simulated/digital world). This digital world is mostly natural (large grasslands, forests, caves, vulcanos etc.).

Thoughts:
