So I just discoved this place via reddit, and I'm really digging it. I'd like to start contributing some work.I've been doing video post for years, but I'd like to contribute to games.
What are the most needed sounds? Searching around it looks like there are a bunch of interface beeps, and monster sounds on here. Other than that, would would be the most useful things?
Either this is a recent development or I have an exceptional talent for not noticing things, but today I discovered that XBox 360 pads are supported by GNU/Linux. Unlike the official Windows DirectInput driver, the triggers are mapped to individual axes and the central logo button is accessible.
License sound to me more or less like CCO, but the models are only on facebook (I don't have an account and don't plan to get one), and maybe some one could contact the guy through facebook for license clarification?
I have been looking around for good creative commons reference images of the human body. ultimately i just want, front, back and side shots of a male and female. one would have thought this would be quite easy, but it appears no such thing exists.

Hi, I am currently having trouble with deciding about the art style of an game I am going to develop and thus looking for references, thoughts and inspirations for it.
The game will be an topdown 2D RPG playing in an virtual reality (e.g. simulated/digital world). This digital world is mostly natural (large grasslands, forests, caves, vulcanos etc.).
