No. You are going to either sell it to many customers for a small fee, or to a single client for a large fee (which they will recoup by selling it to many customers for a small fee). That or you will starve.
If you admins think it's a bit too close to the inspiration, then I'm not too fussed if you remove it.
The only really Sonic-ish bit is the golden-brown checker tiles (I shouldn't think such a concept would be copyrightable and I've certainly played earlier games with checker tiles).
