What's the deal with the multiple votes? Are there a fixed number of votes per user, is the weight of the user's vote divided between all voted for items or something else entirely?
I wouldn't say your wizard is any more like either doudoulolita's or Redshrike's wizards than any other cartoon wizard. I would think it sufficiently generic that it shouldn't be considered a derivative and as such you should be free to relicense it at your pleasure.

While it can certainly bring in more valuable additions to the site, it would suck if the creator was going to submit a preexisting openly licensed work to a challenge only to be pipped at the post by some random person who managed to submit the same work to the challenge before them.
