I noticed that, too; the site interprets gif's strangely. Transparency becomes a weird yellow static, and pure black becomes transparent. The gif's themselves are fine, it's just the preview images that behave stragely. The next version of the site should resolve that, but the revamp is purely volunteer, so it isn't going to happen any time soon. In the meantime, I recommend setting the preview version of gifs to replace all pure-black pixels (that are not part of the background) to RGB(8,8,8).
Unknowable. This isn't a user that has since been deleted. It was anon posting with no login back when that was (breifly) allowed here. But also, irrelevant. Whoever it was didn't require credit for their changes, so the only attribution required goes to Clint.
@Elbon Eastmage: As stated above, erotic content is not permitted on OGA. And, again as stated above, OP was not initially asking about erotic content. The original question was about NSFW content on OpenGameArt.org specifically... which is not the same thing as erotic content within video games in general. NSFW content is conditionally allowed on OGA, erotic content is not.
This thread is not the place to have a philosophical discussion about personal preferences for or against lewd/erotic game content.
Done. :)
I'm afraid the lack of punctuation has rendered that sentence unclear. Are you asking me to change your username to phoenixastra?
to what?

There is an option to disallow it if you prefer I don't, but I'd advise against that since I wouldn't be able to help you find stuff. ;)

No response from submitter. Unless information about the texture can be provided, I must remove this submission soon.
