Hey, guys! I have a few questions about tilesets! Hope you can help me out.
So, I have been making pixel art for a few years now, but I mostly didn't make my own games with it, I just made pixel art assets to share with others. To make sure that my assets work properly, I usually use RPG Maker, because it is pretty plug-and-play, so I can test out tiles and animations in a few minutes. Now, this means that I have gotten used to formating my assets, especially sprites in a formate that RPG Maker understands.
Drawin every single mountain on a map maybe relaxing, but it's a bit slow to do, so I have decided de creat a bunch of ressource for making map. And since i'm doing it I was thinking, better sharing them without restriction, but I was curious if some people will be interested by having them directling in brush format more than simply a .png ? If some people people need some specific map asset, I can also do them and add them in the pack (anyway I'm already doing a bunch of them makking more will not be difficult).
I have a submission I'll be posting soon, but I'd like to create gif animations for the sprites moving around the tileset without having to use a script and screen record.
Hi, I've been signed in OpenGameArt for a litle while now, not yet active but have a pixelbase project, will start with humans then animals.
I've allready a little sample of a try (lines only, in three diferents body types), based on "the gang" from "the angels family" paperdolls published before 1926.
i used the colors from the flags as found on wikimedia and a multiply layer with the gray from devurandom's palette. i would like some advice on improving the color palette to make it more pixel arty, any suggestions?
friends what resoultion would you reccommend for a pixel art background that would be useful as an OGA asset but that i could also use to practice pixel art?
After seeing my old tilesets I felt like doing something new, and I decided it would be a mix of the style of the games: the legend of zelda, gbc (Oracle of Ages and Seasons) and gba (minish cap). so I'm using the same palette as the tloz minish cap, is there a possibility that I could get into legal trouble from nintendo because of this?
