We are happy to share our new game called "Memory Elevator", a cognitive game that will exercise, focus and train your memory. It's fun and easy to play! Download it now.
Hello! I'm new here. (But have been drooling over everyone's art for a while hehhh) I am trying to teach myself pixel art for a game I'm working on. Between me and my friends I have writing, coding, music, etc. covered, but no artists. So I'm... gonna try my best!!
(I'm nervous posting this because you all make such fantastic art - please be kind!)
I used a tutorial to make a pixel portrait from a photograph, and I am REALLY surprised at how well it turned out!! Like, I can't even doodle well. I thought this would be impossible for me.
For my upcoming release I have been working a lot with the LPC content. I started off using the LPC-Spritesheet generator created by Gaurav0, however, a lot of cool stuff has been added since the last commit in this repo, and as I needed some flexibility and speed I forked it and updated it my self.
It offers all expansions made on LPC that I know about (some still missing as described in the readme). I hope it can be of any help for you as well.
i'm working on these elements for a game i'm working on (because i couldnt find others that worked in the UI! maybe i can submit as missing link...) and i can't draw the dang rocks. i think the other elements look good enough, but the rocks look like crap. ;p
could one of you pixel wizards offer some tips on pixel rocks?
i can, like, paint rocks, but i'm having a hard time making an exciting rock scene and also picking the right colors for it.
So following a couple of days work I'm just about to wrap up 4-Color Assortment, I'd say. It was very fun to do and in my opinion a great success which got more attention than anything else I've ever been posting before I'd say. Not that popularity is the same as quality....
I want to do another pixel art project very soon, but for this time, I thought I'd ask the community what they'd like to see!
Hey everyone! This is my first post on OGA ever, so sorry if im doing this wrong. I was just wondering what your procss is for creating assets for your games. What are your first steps? Do you rough sketch some ideas down? Do you create backstories for your characters before even considering drawing? What programs do you use? What programs would you recommend for a noob? What tools do you find ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for your work? What does your workstation setup look like?
I'm trying to make different power-up items. Like they earn extra life (1UP), become big, and shoot/invincible through against enemy creatures/objects after getting the items.
