Hi, I'm new to the forum and currently I work to develop games for iPhone and iPad and I need a graphic designer. I Need images would be in jpg format (for funding levels) and png (for character animations, buttons ...) Anyone interested?
Let's talk about perspectives for sprites and how can be implemented.
Arereal. Used in Final Fantasy.
32x20 (I don't know the name) Double Dragon.
Side. Super Mario Bros.
Isometric. Ages of empires.
Orthogonal. This one is very frustating for me. I found it here but I couldn't find a tutorial or game using it, I tried many times but I couldn't fix it.
Recently I downloaded the wonderful spaceship in 360 degrees. But when trying to use the art work I found it fundamentally flawed. I hope this post will explain what I found wrong with it so future great artwork can be, in my humble opinion, correct.
I'm doing sprites of bottles of 32x32, but after check, I found this will be the 100th bottle colection of OGA. So, in name of make it worth the effort, I'm going to put an inmense amount of things in them.
Expanding the collection wasn't hard, every body went for blue red and green, so I added cyan, purple, yellow, black and white. Also I'm planing:
I've been practicing my pixelart and here are 2 tiles that I made today (My first ever tiles, i've only practiced buildings). If anyone wants to give me tips, techniques, or better programs to use that would be awesome!
I made this in photoshop and any feedback is appreciated!
I am making a game currently and I am using the art mostly from this site :-).
I have however, a layer made of stars, which moves in the background to make it look like the Ship is really flying through space. But it is barely visible and very subtile.
If you watch this video, you might see it in the background. Switch to 720p and fullscreen:
