i did read the Log from Yesterday, where someone wanted to know, what Pixel-Art Programs are available. Well, i'm creating Pixel-Art mainly, so i know a few good one's.
You can use this Programs, instead of using overpowered Programs as Photoshop or the like:
I made a pixel editor called Pixation for the iphone. I created it because i wasn't happy with any of the existing pixel editors so i made one exactly how i thought it should be... so obviously its what i use now to make pixel art on the go.
I recently concluded that part of the reason I have trouble drawing faces in manga style is that my concept of the 3D shape of the (simplified, manga-style) human head is somewhat fuzzy, so I decided to practice it a bit and see what I came up with. I think I'm making some progress, but if anyone could pick these sketches apart, I'd appreciate it:
This is my first attempt at doing anything other than Wesnoth sprites. It's actually turning out to be a lot of fun.
These were created to match the Tiny Town tiles, which I believe are being used in at least one project. If not, these tiles will wait for the day someone starts a project with a need for 16x16 tiles. :) There are 2 lava tiles, some rock/brick wall tiles and variants, some wood walls/floors, and some pipes. I'm going to be adding to these before I upload, but what do you think of what I've got so far?
So I run KDE and I have a wacom tablet. Unfortunately, I've only really used the tablet on windows, because the aspect ratio of my screen doesn't match the aspect ratio of the tablet, and I can't find a setting to correct for that in KDE. Anyone know where to look in order to address that? I'm running Fedora 13.
