FLAC and OGG are fine open formats, only issue is that a lot of the higher end software cant use them where as formats like pnj/jpg etc are widly supported audio is a lot harder to find a good format to work in that is widly supported. The major advantage of mp3 is that everything supports it, even tho it is patented =/
to be honest im ok with this, so long as its made so it cant be spammed like every day it seems resonable as adding a liscense makes the art usable to more people now
maby have the different stages while still having the quality etc ratings, that way finished art gets compared to other finished art, the problem currently is that its hard to find the best art on the site as there is lots of stuff hidden thats really good

Also shirts etc are how blender pays most there bills, if the ads dont work out thats another avenue.

Was talking with some people and rather then just having favorites having a rating system would also be nice at some point, just sayin :)

Also renders are fine the real issue is if your work is usable to other people's games, ie post the model or w/e not just a render of it
