@VinnNo.0 yeah, you pretty much said what I kind of set the jam up for, to use what's here, and add what may be found needing, and at the same time the art challenges provide the theme type assets that can be used for for the jam if wanted. I think for now, we will keep it as it is, and if something comes up or is wanted by the community here to add or calibrate within the jam we can look into and discuss for the next jam.
id just like to say that if the jam I set up is not what the community here want, then of coarse you are free to create your own jam with something more tailored. (I don't mean that in a negative way) I do try and consider all of what's been said on the threads and I am always willing to experiment with ideas. :)
I couldn't understand it very much either, but I'm guessing creators on there create asset sets and then they are voted on by the community there to declare a winner, and then they go and make games using those sets. It's kind of similar to the art challenges, just there not part of the jam, just and optional addition to the jam. I'm just trying to think of a way to include asset creation to the jam, for those that might not want, or even make games but can still contribute to OGA and take part. But then they could do that by doing the art challenges can't they? I'm still open to suggestions.:)
That's a good idea @surt, my feeling on this is that I just don't think there is enough participation on the "art challenges" themselves at the moment, which are currently an option in the jam, to think that it is worth adding something like that to it. However, teams can team up, artist and dev, and create art themselves for their game.(long as they are made available on OGA for download before the jam ends) to be considered as part of the 6 assets rule. Or even just create assets for the jam, based on the previous themes if they like, or maybe I could add it in with separate voting within the jam. Il have to think about it, I could do it, how would you suggest a voting criteria for just assets? :)
@capbros, your right i get what your saying, i dont want to turn people away from OGA at all, but at the same time, people could create multiple accounts to vote, and i could have an inbox of crazyness, also Medicinestorm wont want to be bogged down approving accounts all day. it could be a disaster so i thought having a filter for now would be good, and then change it next year perhaps if all goes well. But its cool if not, il happily leave it as just a private messgae for everyone. and work around that next year if needed.
ive written up the OGA favourite part. i included the 60 nday account bit as i didnt want people creating multiple accounts just for the vote. is 60 days reasonable or not?
OGA Favourite (new)
As well as your games being rated here to declare a winner, this year I have introduced the 'OGA Favourite' vote. This means that the OGA community members can vote on their personal favourite game of the jam. So if you don't win the jam itself, you could win this instead. Or you never know, you could do the double and win both! ( votes cast by private messaging me on OGA website, 1 vote per member, and only members that have had an account longer than 60 days will count)

Any one have any suggestions about Surt's idea?

@capbros I'm not sure it does, even if it did I wouldn't have a clue how to do it.:)
OK, I shall edit out the 60 day account bit. Thank you @capbros @medicinestorm. :)
