Looking for a 2D graphic designer, to help fill my artistic void. I am a adept game programmer, and do it for a hobby. I have an idea for a game (no title yet), that has an anime style. Its a dungeon style rpg with many areas to cover. If you were to submit some samples, I would review it, and descide weather or not you have the same images in your mind as I. This game is expected to take 1-2 years to make. This is a hobby, and I have a job, so i cant spend much time working on it each day. I am currently designing the game style, story, and mechanics.
Ill straight jump into the topic. I've attached an Image of a character and I would like if you could give me some comments and review it. I really need some reviews :D
Now a little more details. I want to create a whole bundle of gladiator characters(hero and lots of enemys including 1 boss) + arena + gui. So this is a huge work for me. And in the image you see the main hero ive drawn so far.
First off, to any contributors of art to this site, thanks a lot - I've used the resources here quite a bit for school projects where I didn't have time to produce my own gameassets.
Currently, I'm in the middle of a game project and I got most of the code down but I've been working with placeholder assets all along. I recently attempted to draw my own pixel art in Microsoft paint, but I've run into a very basic problem that I just don't understand. So I'm hoping you guys can help me a bit.
I'm looking for a pixelartist to help me with my summerproject. I just finnished my first year studying gamedevelopment and to keep the things i've learnt fresh in memory during summer i started making a platform-adventure game (kinda like castlevania). This is just for fun so there will be no money involved. You dont have to be great at what youre doing so this is something for someone who feels like he/she wants to get more into pixelart and practice it or get more stuff into their portfolio.
I haven't been on this site for a couple years- or even a computer actually. I got caught up with some life changing distractions.
For the past month or so I've been tinkering around (on the little spare time that I have) on some pixel art and when I get tired of that I may poke at my Dusk demo game.
Hi everyone, I am developing a game and also designing characters. I am having trouble designing 2.5D or isometric however, and i needed some help. I tried using isometric patterns from different games but I cant seem to measure the proper height. I am also planning to animate them smoothly like the animation of the characters in game of dice. They kinda moving with different parts of limbs and i find it cool. Any idea how to implement it?
